Automatic dishwasher drained into sink while soaking meat in sink...?
Hey all.
I was soaking some meat in the sink when my son decided to run the dishwasher (he didn't know it drains into the sink). I noticed it maybe 25-30 minutes after he ran the dishwasher and there was much more water then I remember when I was soaking the meat. There wasn't any apparent detergent/soap or food particles in the water. And the meat didn't smell like the detergent.
The detergent we use DOES say "Do not ingest" though.
I already cleaned the meat in hot and cold water. And I was going to boil the meat to drain the blood anyway.
I just wanted some opinions. I have no problem throwing out the meat, but it would be such a waste...
